as everyone would've already guessed by now (that's if anyone is even reading this) this blog has had a somewhat premature death. truely i never did imagine that i would quit blogging this soon, but due to personal reasons (more like personality actually. mine) i have found that it really is too taxing to log in to blogger.com and type up a few sentences about my life. in fact this is so hard to do that i have actually put off doing this for umm..let's see.. over a couple months now. so..sadly, i'm afraid that i will have to pronounce my blog dead. for now at least. until i get back the motivation to sign in to blogger again. i feel..bad...i guess.. for having to write something like this..i feel, lost..shattered..maybe even..

i've cut my hair. gone from abit of rukawa to more of sakuragi. even dyed it a 'lil. i actually kinda like haircuts now. especially when i have something different now and then instead of just trimming every time. fresh, i call it. hahaha..

lotsa things are popping up at the same time. find myself getting busier by the day really. order's coming in..aptment inspections..assignments..appointments..the lot. spent the day browsing through furniture at QV today, particularly loved the beds at domayne. they were so nice! really looking for at least a double bed, single ones just don't cut it for me. (roll around too much) church was good today. feels excellent going back to swanston street coc. haven't been there for sucha long time. either ways it's father's day today in australia. HAPPY FATHERS DAY, DAD!

There's been quite alot on my mind lately. first and foremost, the new apartment. i keep dreaming of how it'll be like when i move in there. finally, a place i can really call home in melbourne. MY home. hahaha.. i mean college square is nice n' all, i get by really well. but still? feels a lil' too hostel like. ah well. anyway, it'll soon be ready and i'm really gonna have the time of my life furnishing it!! always wanted to furnish my own place. love looking at furniture and interior design..and i can actually buy some now! =)

i just turned 19 not too long ago. when i think about just the age, i must admit i still do feel young. maybe it's just because there's still a -teen at the end. BUT, when i think about where i'm at now, and all the responsibilities coming my way all too soon, it's hit me that i'm about to begin another phase in life really quickly. they say 20-30 will be the time of your life. well i cant say im not looking forward to that, but i can still remember the day when i first became a teen. and boy, have i come a long way since. (haven't we all) secondary school..jc..trinity..and the first couple years of melb uni. just like that.

of course, there are the pro's of getting older. yup. driving's one of them. =)

got a lil' bit of the flu..it's been raining quite a lot. and it's awfully cold. it's times like these i like to stay in and just sit by the window and think, have a cuppa and enjoy my new jay album =) i like qi li xiang itself but track 4 and 6 are nice as well...(ok so just about all of 'em are nice also la) i (try to) sing along to the songs. can't really do it cuz' his voice is so high but sometimes i wish i could sing like that. those who have heard me sing and have lived to tell of it can attest to the somewhat traumatic experience. ergghhh...throat kinda hurts. so does my left eye. gonna have a good rest tonight. hopefully will be better tmr.

been driving quite a lot lately..with another session tmr. Liz is pretty cool..she let's me do what i want to do. impreza RS manual!!

cant wait for the next naruto. both anime and manga...

july camp 2004 was great! unfortunately i tend to forget to write about stuff like this often. When i'm like reeaaaaally hyped up to write about all the wonderful things that have happened, somehow, it just slips to the back of my mind and i forget that i even have a blog altogether. im sure the ocf blogging phase is past its climax though, even mun keong seems to be out of it lately. slowly, every post and entry gets a longer gap between, till' the time comes when the gap goes on forever. (ie. dead blog.) Still, it is nice to blog once in a while. Just to get something out, some bottled thoughts and feelings.

One BIG reason i havent been blogging also is because i didn't pay my internet bills. however, now that that's settled (for the moment), and im on the spanking new college square network that finally offers unlimited bandwidth, i probably have no excuse! downloads here i come! =)
...not to mention steam and what have you to enjoy online.

recently my dad has begun to notice who i go out with. when i leave the house back in sg, a standard conversation will go like this:

dad: where are you going?
me: err..city hall
dad: going with who?
me: my secondary school friend..haven't met up for years
dad: okay. girl or boy?
me: huh?
dad: girl or boy?
me: girl
dad: pretty or not?
me: errrrr....okay laaa

I don't recall him asking the last question at all when i was younger. maybe its cuz' i havent had a girlfriend in a while...haha! ah well. my dad's great.

Wonder where's that order of games i sent to davin...

had some great sushi with the sg ocfers back on monday. was good..tried some stuff i'd never thought i would. =P for the  gastronomic adventurer, check out joel's blog where every culinary delight tasted is photographed and analysed, with colourful comments and verdicts passed no doubt. ; )  deborah's blog offers some great photos too! following the sushi, we played abit of pool where my luck shots (taikoness) was on full display. mahjong later that night was ok too..and we sorta dozed off on deborah's sofa listening to westlife and staring at her wonderfully landscaped backyard. i spotted a frog hopping around. by morning, all of us were daft and soft in the head its a miracle in itself we made it home alive. the rest of tuesday was then spent sleeping in my osim chair, reclined all the way.

today i met so many people just wandering around ang mo kio. its wonderful really, this neighbourhood thingy. i saw about 3 people from my primary school, met a sec sch classmate whom i havent seen since sec sch (jia eeeeeeee) ran into a pig from way east (lzh) and a japanese surfer (davin), and a cjc friend, all this while going to popular to buy textbks and stationery with belinda. oo and i found another 3 (!) dodgey stores selling pirated games. heheh.

bought heaps of naruto collectibles today. oh and new kicks. king james in full whites. sick.

 

been away the past few days..chilling out in bintan! good food..great facilities..and err..plenty to look at!? =P haha.. was very nice to hang out with my fam again after so long. but wasnt very nice stuffing my face with buffet spreads EVERY night. gawsh i must've consumed enough to feed a village. the weather was great. it rained a 'lil but was a light drizzle, helping out the afternoon nap cause. i relaxed abit in the pool just laying there by the side. wasnt' really anyone around at that time, so i just enjoyed the time taking things slow and lettin my thoughts swim about..(which i wasnt doing much of) thank goodness nobody alerted the life guard with reports of a dead whale in the middle of the hotel swimming pool because that really was how it looked like. as a noisy group of girls in bikinis came, i quickly made my exit. there's nothing worse than facing a group of attractive girls in an oversized parachute (my dad's swimming pants. i forgot to bring mine.) that falls to my knees everytime i kick off the poolside. needless to say, i wasn't looking my best, so exit was probably the right decision. heheh. more reasons to hit the gym!
 
there's gonna be an ocf 'singapore' gathering tmr at cine, wonder who's gonna be there!? haha.. ooo gotta bring my camera (which i brought to bintan and forgot all about. so there arent any pictures AT ALL)  and this time, i WILL take pictures! (though maybe not be in them.. heheh)
 
 

Just caught shrek 2 last night on davin's swanky new laptop..(which is widescreen(!) and has some of the best speakers i've ever heard on a portable system) the darned thing looks so good i wonder why nobody's stolen it yet. or even attempted to. hahaha.. considering he brings it to school almost everyday. It's pentium M centrino powered at 1.6ghz and sports ample ram, hdd space. dvd drive and get this..a geforce Fx! but the best thing about it is still the screen. it's probably good enough to be a whole replacement for an entertainment system set-up on a desktop! oh. and have i mentioned davin takes engineering at school? =P

hahaha..well, apart from all that, shrek 2 must be one of the best movies i've caught in a while. a loooooong while. it's so good!! gawshh i actually dig cartoons. magnificent visuals and fantastic voice acting really make the characters come to life. dang fiona looks mighty fine as a human.. ;P Shrek just looks..beefy. whatever the case, i still like donkey alot.

lookin' at shrek and fiona hit it off kinda makes me woozy as well. woah wish i could find my princess fiona.....

though not as an ogre please. 'lil too green for me!

i've finally done something to my blog. after weeks and weeks of stalling. fixed this 'n that..got a new template.. got rid of that dratted angelfire thingy. no prizes for guessing what my fave colour is eh?

well it's kinda good to be back in sg. met up with a few pple here and there. after semi-abandoning this blog of mine, i've finally decided to work on it (again). Of course, exams and assignments have been bugging me all month and really have been the main reasons why i kinda stopped blogging in the first place. Lotsa things have happened since then...it probably wouldnt be very practical to blurt everything out just to make up for whats missing. =P (which is A LOT)

After seeing everyone do so much to their blogs, (templates..pics..the works) i couldnt help but think about my own rubbish excuse for a blog (this) and how stuff wasnt really working. (the disappearing pics and banners) SO i decided to sit down and get it done. Initially wanted to change the template altogether but what the heck. I kinda did already not too long ago and didnt have any sort of inspiration or motivation to, so...heheh

so what has happened since i last blogged? lots..mmm...well, for starters, i went to city church last sunday! awesome stuff..oh and i probably havent mentioned the major major presentation for my building. went quite okay. Watched countless movies and been pigging out loads recently. its winter..dont mind winter but the cold really gets you hungry! but the worst part is how it makes you stagnant. you really cant be stuffed to go out running anymore..or play basketball..or even get out of bed for that matter.. =P hahaha..

been thinking alot lately as well..its been good though, just clearing my mind and getting stuff in shape..

oh gosh havent felt this good in ages. The presentation went quite well, surprisingly.(thanks for the prayers!) i suppose i will get an okay mark for it which isnt bad considering i was still attempting to stab little obscure pieces into some half glued "wall" just half an hour before the presentation. Drawings and poster weren't any better, a last-ditch effort this morning. anyways, enough of that. its OVER! im freeee...

now my apartment is a mess. my laundry needs to be done. there're pots and pans in the sink..little bits of material all over the floor..

I really need to get back into some sport. yes yes ive been running but that isnt exactly a sport is it? (well, recreational running isnt) Been thinking of gettin' it back on with basketball, but kinda torn between sticking with that or trying something new..
...speaking of which, reminds me that about that time i somehow ended up watching a kendo class in uni. Well nothing much..but..kinda saw someone there that i just saw again recently..so weird! hahaha

It has been a (sorta) relaxing day. not quite the kind of relaxation i was looking for but not too shabby.

started off the day waking up extra early for church (morning call to william) to make sure he's coming! =D then met up with chin anh also and had a pretty good service today.

mother's day also...happy mother's day to my wonderful mom! hehe..

then err..had lunch with william to catch up n' stuff. then went with jun to play some games and chill..

then went home

then met russ and da guys..

then went running (russ nearly fainted. so scary)

then met chin anh at puay li's place for some supper

Fishing Trip 13/4/04

(or also known as the ACEGOCGD, or Accompany Chris to Go Out with China Girl Day)

This was a kinda lame day which started out dead boring and turned out okay. it began with waking up at like 6am to get on the bus at federation square with vince and kev. talk about not enough sleep and dying in the cold.

the bus then went to deakin uni to pick up the other group of people. (chris basically) The trip was suppsed to be a fishing trip, which would be okay if it were a normal one. except that Chris had conned us into it to accompany him in the pursuit of a certain girl from china. oh. and did i mention the trip was organised by the members of the Deakin uni and RMIT CANTONESE SOCIETY??

so it was basically like 40 cantonese spewing mainland chinese and hong kongers (or as kev says : honkytonk club) and erm...hmmm...us? and dammit chris didnt even have the guts to approach the girl..sighzzzz...hahaahaha...anyway, to cut things short, the fishing was a waste (total catch: 0) so we went off nearby to try archery and the golf driving range. which was pretty okay. then finished off the night with abit of gaming..

now chris and kev are hooked on golf..

and we're gonna play tmr!

Easter Camp 2004

This was the first time going for easter camp..so..didn't really have an idea of how it would be like..
was supposed to meet at green house to help move equipment at 7.30am. ended up waking up at 7.45. got there at 8.15? haha..but met linsey along the way so not too bad (if you're gonna be late, isn't it better with company? =D ) the bus ride there was downright boring, but got to know ben and ian who were sitting behind me. turns out ben is chris's brother and ian is their cousin! on first impression, ian seemed like a complete basketball fanatic. (and he is) and ben..i dunno..was kinda talking about how good he is physically. (didnt come off too well to be honest, but i didn't really know him then) aneeeyway, skipped registration and ran off with boon chuan and mun keong to the bball court. first two days of camp was like some bball camp really..haha...got to know lotsa new people from other ocf centers..made lotsa new friends...and my cell group was cool!! haha..DANIEL rockz!!! shout out to all the peepz in my cell.. - Joel , Nancy, Joseph, Wee Kian, Stacia, Albert, Lyris, Shyan, Imelda and Phoebe~ and the guys in my bunk rocked too!! hahaha...was sooo fun. Chin Anh was saboh-ed. (by me) as well as Ding. THROWN INTO THE LAKE! ahahahaha!!! highlight of the camp. the other highlight was ben accepting Christ on Sunday..could see he had changed so much since i first met him on the bus..i prob spent the most time with him during the camp and could really see him develop...sooo awesome! haha..really memorable easter camp.. =D wanna go again next year!!

and this time i CAN be kitchen hand, jasmine!! =)

The past week has been an absolute nightmare. Just work, work, work all day long all through the night. Especially last night. Got completely OWNED by management. and the model. arrrrgghhh...don't even want to think about that.

Well guess that kinda explains why i havent been blogging eh? hahaha...its been a consecutive four, five days of sleepless nights going crazy with the model. The worst part maybe, could be the non-stop intake of rubbish like potato chips n' fast food and...erm..ackkk! No more!!! no more of this bs!! hahaha..its time to relax!!!!!! =D

and im going for easter camp tomorrow! mmm..think it's gonna be a blast! haha..will be gone for the next four days...so, well, i'll blog after that!! cheers all! =D

'neways, didn't do all that much today..was on time to ltc (for once!) and it was an 'enriching' session (politically correct as clarissa says) touched on some really really deep stuff..

then went to play lan with the guys! hahaha..what did ya expect? its a SATURDAY NIGHT for goodness sake! had some ownage at the other place, forgot wat its called. but we had fun. it was cool!

hmmm...still havent gotten my 12 hours..but i WILL get that soon...hopefully.

Spent the day kinda bumming around..relaxing..having some time off. Woke up at noon or so, (but slept close to 5) so not all that refreshed, but well..alright. Its really essential to get some time off on your own, think about stuff, do the stuff that you've put off for so long..(eg. dishes,vacuuming, bills, etc) i really think it sets you straight. (and clean... my apartment that is =D ) Anywaaaay, it has allowed me to assess my stand and position in things..to work out stuff and issues that have been bothering me as well..soooo...guess im supposed to be all the wiser now huh now that i've done my ' intellectual thinking '.

but im not! hahaha...im still just as blur as ever laaa =D

its kinda good that it was..well, good, and the tutor kinda liked it. but seriously it seems that whenever we have to do a model i kinda get into a certain mindset n' i find myself thinking about it 24/7 until after its been completed and presented. ONLY then can i relax. as in REALLY relax. *even though 3/4 of the time that we're supposed to do the model i AM relaxing....but it doesn't FEEL like relaxing! get it?* ah well anyway, after the whole thing was settled today (for the moment) i find myself in a dump of an apartment and struggling to remember stuff that happened throughout the past few days of model making. like meeting linsey on the tram. happened yesterday but i thought it was today. lol.


i need 12 hours of sleep to set me straight.

9am - the initial alarm. a groan and a whack and it shuts up. quick.

9.10am - the snooze alarm. another whack.

9.20am - the snooze alarm. yet another whack.

9.30am - the snooze alarm. the final straw. clumsily feeling for the buttons i struggle to turn the damn thing off.

10am - the sudden ' jolt up with realisation of impending doom'

10.20am- out the door. hair uncombed. laces undone. i dont care.

10.45am- with whimsical apologies to my irate friend. we enter the lecture theater. 45mins late.

5pm- bolt out of the lecture theater, onwards to bullwinkles before it closes. (closes AT 5)

6pm- have a sad uneventful meal with woofy.

6-2am - slack. give in to the vile corruption of the one known as ' cOrMm-pIu-teHr- and his evil companion, 'eeEn.tEr-nEt'.

3am- off to dreamland.

a whole new day ahead again.

like su..i have deleted the most recent post juz' in case what i wrote rubs off the wrong way with the folks who are mentioned in it so i guess it shall only be kept to the lucky few who read it within the last 20 mins..hahaha..hopefully the info there will not further exacerbate the already crappy situation for someone. soooo...i shall instead talk about.... TODAY! woohooooo

mmm..lets see...woke up pretty early today..went to coc...*great worship today!* errr...then went with sof to get a bdae present for boss..haha..a cup...but a nice cup..(and a nice cake too..mmmmm) was VERY cold today *brrr*...and me...being me..didnt realise it in the morning before i left my apartment (but' its warm in my apartment! -_-") so happily walked out in a t shirt and jeans...soo..as i froze my ass off walkin' away from church..realised i really needed a sweater. BAD.

so i walked straight into myer and walked out wearing a new espirit jacket. AHAHAHAHA..im SO gonna be broke for the rest of the month.

had an awesome night last nite...went for ocf instead of the cs welcome dinner but i think it was pretty worth it...got to hang out more with the cell grp...and then germ, andrew, sof, loretz,shanna and linsey came over to my place for the movie marathooon..(supposedly). everything went pretty much as planned and we got the zoolander tape from downstairs..*which reminds me ive forgotten to return it...dang* had crazy good snacks throughout..doritos..kettle chips.. drinks..the works..and we watched this old andy lao movie too..athena chu is THE BEST!! =D haha...'neway had a cool time talking with andrew and linsey till' the wee hours while germ and sof dozed off..really surprised with linsey! she didnt fall aslp..(11pm sleeper) thanks for the great nite everyone! =)

and then i woke up at 5pm. HAHAHA

so lazy.

ahhhhh...kinda irritated. can you believe this is the fourth time im writing this blog entry? haha...all thanks to the *super reliable* college square internet network. it always dies on me!!! ;P haiz...what to do..write again loh..sian..
ahahaha...whats funny is that i was actually pissed off with something else that happened during the day during today's construction visit..and was gonna write about that..but you know what? i really cant be bothered right now..lazy! hahaha..and kinda over it already. this over and over and over again thingy has really got me off the whole issue that when i try to think of it again, it just makes me realise that thats how things are. You just have to accept it and try to get on with life..not just for the whole site visit issue today but also for this fourth time that im writing an entry today..maybe thats why im writing this entry..*and i really hope it doesnt die again* =)

oh and i watched the first episode of the new season of 'average joe'. boon chuan was laughing non-stop! was soooo funny. i mean..where do they find these guys?! some of 'em are okay la...they seem like nice regular people. but some are just complete...losers!!! ;P especially that david guy..he's just so..so...crazy?! throughout his entire air time on the show he really had me and boon chuan shaking our heads in disbelief. seriously!

and that hair! ;P

had a pretty good day today. First off i was late to meet max at one of the sites. supposed to meet him at 11 there, but somehow i kept whacking my alarm (snooze button) TILL eleven. so paiseh. so we kinda rushed through the notes and stumbled into class not really knowing what to say. (we kinda affected our presentation) thank goodness the tutor was impressed by the amount of material we had.

after that had a great lunch at melb central! the katsu don there is simply awesome, could eat that everyday for lunch even if we have to travel there everyday. its that good, really. Well.....to me anyway. and there's also another reason why i like to go there often. winkZ~ ;)

then after a refreshing organisational behaviour class, *refreshed frm slp*, played some soccer and basketball before going to germ's place for an awesome time with the cell group..the food was excellent!! (and yes, japanese again) everyone tried their hand at making sushi and they all tasted really good. great stuff.

Lotsa stuff have been happenin' lately in school. all the work is just about coming, the assignments piling up. we kinda got lucky with the site selection ; got this great site on lygon street and the guys there were juz awesome to work with! really happy with that. steve is kinda more normal now. haha. thank goodness. dunno watzup with albert. seems a bit weird lately, wonder what's on his mind.

Everyone seems so caught up in this blogging craze again! (well not really everyone, juz su,sof,germ n' all) =D mmmm...gd gd..haha..there's a cell group dinner tmr!! woohooooooooooooooooooo~

played golf with my dad in jb today. wasn't too shabby i guess, considering i haven't played for ages! mmm.. my shoe broke on the 18th hole, not really important but had to to throw it away when we got back to the clubhouse. had a good drink (of beer) with dad, downed with some nice m'sian fried rice. kinda like malaysia lots more after going back these past few times...maybe im beginning to appreciate my original home...

now. allow me to recall what i have done over the past week. err.

ooo..NEW YEAR! gosh how can i forget new year! hahaha..well, new year was a blast (literally) and was one of the most enjoyable ones i had in a while. unlike previous years - sittin' at home watchin tv, goin out partying, etc- we (davin ,zheng and moi) did something that started out kinda as a lame idea at first. heck, we didnt even know where to go and what to do at ..6pm on new year's eve! no plans...so started out with some last minute calling and planning..to no avail. so what did we do? er. meet up. and then?
err. NOTHING REALLY!
but it was fun! basically we just sat around and did nothing. LOL. how gay is that.
so why was it fun? haha...seriously i dont know! we kinda just enjoyed talking crap and doing the mundane things that we do everyday! read: play games. but at about 11 or so we hopped over to davins place..and pulled out the mahjong table!!
right next to the tv too, so we were watching the countdwn as it happened. had this babe/hunk thing going on. was real bad but jamie yeo (host) looked damn good. heh.celebrated the new year over mahjong and a can of booze each! (courtesy of davin's dad) continued to gamble like a bunch of serious amatuers until abt 3am, when we decided to do some really crazy shit with the packs of sparklers in the house (courtesy of davin's dad). we kinda made our own rocket-esque fireworks with em' till we had a whole bag, pretty dodgey i must say, held together with cello tape n' all.. but oh well. haha..next, onwards to set 'em off! not too easy this mission, since its pretty illegal to play play with anithing bigger or more explosive than kid's sparklers. so we had to keep movin frm spot to spot and keep a lookout for people (mostly drunks and stoned teens returning home) finally settled at some playground since sand would come in handy for puttin' out any fire. and heck was there plenty offire. hahaha..lookin' more like self combusting hotdogs standing vertical, the dubious 'rockets' sure lacked the oomph and any form of quality workmanship in their production to propel themselves upwards. so what did they do? pretty much explode (with a hiss and a bang) into flames there and then on the ground. so we marvelled at how beautifully how cello tape melted away with sparks and flames coming out from everywhere but the right place, we just couldnt help but revel in awe at the amazing spectacle of dud fireworks. in a sheer moment of delight, zheng then proposed we end the thing with a bang and packed the raw explosive power of 2 whole boxes worth of sparklers into our final showing. wow. did it fly? hell no. did it hiss and spurt and implode into a vertical rod of crazy-ass flames whilst burning a hole in one of the playground benches? HECK YEAH! really crazy shit, that. boy, did we have a blast. (literally) had hella time putting out the fire with the sand and our feet. so, satisfied with our exquisite handiwork, we made back to davin's for more cards and mahjong tiles. ack.

at 10am, when we were all dead and lookin' like zombies, somehow we made it into the light outside. seemed like we'd never seen the sun in days. eyes a'squintin' and legs wobbling about, we stumbled our way to the nearby kopitiam for brekkie. mmm...food. first meal of the year. first day of the year. ahhhhhhhhhh.......

what a year this is gonna be.
